Mercenaries

Throughout the lands are drifting warriors and exiles who swear no allegiance to any faction, but still wish to earn a living through combat. Madmen, lunatics, and savages are just some of the titles given to these mercenaries that they all wear like a badge of honor. They come from a multitude of backgrounds, some with extensive military training and others with none. Most seek the same thing- enough coin to get them through to the next job.

Though these vagabonds often have no place to call home, most find themselves in one of the Junkyard Cities, drinking and gambling away their days and nights until they find their next assignment. Of course, everyone knows that if you’re a mercenary worth your weight, your next assignment will come find you.

Mercenaries employ every tactic under the sun, from generic talents to intense, focused training. Mercenaries are used to augment an alliances weaknesses and fill in the roles that wouldn’t otherwise have been available to a specific faction. Those with powerful abilities, however,  can come with a steep price.
